about

‘Winter’, written for a friend caught in the darkness of the season (SAD - Seasonal Affective Disorder), calls out for what we all need... a little sun on our face.

lyrics

Winter

Winter’s been long and hard
It’s the silence of these white days
With no robin at my door in song
To fly away and,

I watch the children play
Their heads bowed low
Beneath the grey
And it seems our time
Is all but frozen still

So rock me gently
In your arms and
Tell me stories
How spring will come
I need the light on my face.

And I see the see the great flock
Stretching far and wide
Their voices calling out in chorus
My angels of mercy

But still the ground is hard and fast
Captured by it’s frozen past
And soon the snow will fall

So rock me gently
In your arms and
Tell me stories
How spring will come
I need the light on my face.

Yes rock me gently
In your arms and
Tell me stories
How spring will come
I need the light on my face.
